Ndongo United Herbalists
Association (NUHA)
Project Grantee
Ndongo United Herbalists Association (NUHA) is a community-based organization in the Rwenzori region of Uganda, with the mission to empower community with practical skills in sustainable agriculture, health, human rights awareness, and integrated natural resource conservation.

The organization was established by a group of herbalists and environmental experts who realized that many people in impoverished communities that lack financial resources to buy modern medicines die of certain diseases, unaware that they have resources available in their locality that would treat and cure diseases.

NUHA has trained thousands of farmers on regenerative agricultural practices and use of quality indigenous seeds, and helped several of them increase their income by 70%, reducing malnutrition among vulnerable families.
